In 1909, baseball great Honus Wagner ordered the American Tobacco Co. to remove his picture from their cigarette packs, fearing his image would lead children to smoke.
SMOKEFREE PHILLY: KICK BUTTS DAY

KICK BUTTS DAY is Wednesday, March 24, 2010

It's time again for Philly's BUSTED! Youth Coalition's celebration of Kick Butt's Day! Join us for lots of fun from 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 24th, at our Kick Butts Day Awards Night.

We'll be at Concilio at 7th and Fairmount.

The Awards Night features Philly's BUSTED! teen members hosting a talent show and raffles. There will be light refreshments.

Philly BUSTED! is looking for teens with skillz for the Talent Show. If you or your group are interested, e-mail Denisse Rojas, BUSTED! Coordinator, or call her at 215-627-3100, ext. 256.

Kick Butts Day (KBD) is a national annual youth event that empowers youth to stand out, speak up, and take control against Big Tobacco. Philly's KBD 2010 Awards Night showcases Philly's teen health advocates as they spread the word on healthy, tobacco-free choices for healthy people. Like all of Philadelphia BUSTED!'s events, Kick Butts Day 2010 is a youth-led activity.
